Harman Municipality (in German: Honigberg) is located in the historic region of Burzenland, approx. 12 kilometers northeast of the city of Brașov (Kronstadt).

Hungarian King Andrew II. In 1211, Burzenland granted the Teutonic Knights, who settled there, built castles, brought German settlers to the country, and founded villages such as Honigberg. After clashes with the king, the order was expelled from Burzenland in 1225, but German settlements remained.

The Făgăraș Mountains (also known as the Fogarascher Mountains, in Romanian Munții Făgăraș) are part of the Southern Carpathians in Romania.

The mountain ridge spans about 70 km in length and 40 km in width. Covering an area of nearly 2,000 square kilometers, the range reaches its highest point at Moldoveanu Peak (west of Brașov) at 2,544 meters.

Rupea Castle is located near the town of Rupea (in German: Reps), approx. 50 km from Brasov (Kronstadt) - on the way to Targu Mures - and is one of the oldest castles on Romanian territory.

The castle was built in the 11th century and is the landmark of the town of Rupea (Reps). High above the town on Kohalm Hill (578 meters), it can be seen from afar. It was first mentioned in documents in 1324, when the Saxons fought against the King of Hungary.

The Black Church (Romanian: Biserica Neagră) is a Gothic hall church in the Transylvanian city of Brașov (Kronstadt), Romania.

Originally, it was dedicated as a Catholic church to the Holy Virgin Mary. The Black Church got its current name after a city fire in 1689. Today, it serves as the main church of the German-speaking Honterus congregation of the Evangelical Church A.B. in Romania.

Bran Castle (German name: Törzburg) is located on the so-called Dietrichstein rock, in the town of Bran, Transylvania region, Brasov county.

On the road from Sibiu (Hermannstadt) to Brașov (Kronstadt) is the town of Făgăraș (in German Fogarasch or Fugreschmarkt).

At an altitude of 1,000 meters, the castle built in 1911 by Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino rises majestically in the town of Bușteni (Prahova county), right in front of the high Bucegi mountains.

The 6-hectare (60,000 m2) castle park invites you to stay and is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Prahova Valley today. The castle, the sculpture park and the terrace, with its breathtaking view, attract thousands of visitors every year.

The Rucăr-Bran Pass, also known as the Bran Pass, is a mountain pass in Romania that connects the counties of Brașov and Argeș.

It offers some of Romania’s most spectacular natural experiences, with views of the Bucegi Mountains in the Southern Carpathians. The villages of Fundata and Moieciu are located along the pass.

Marienburg from Feldioara (Romanian name of Marienburg) is a medieval castle of the Teutonic Order in the region of Transylvania in the district of Brașov.

It offers a wonderful view of the surrounding area and the mountains of Brașov (German name: Kronstadt), it is approx. 20 kilometers away from Brașov on the way to Sighișoara ( in German: Schäßburg) and was built on a hill (almost 500 meters above sea level).

In 1211 King Andrew II called. from Hungary The Teutonic Knights in support of the Kumans in the country to secure the eastern border of his growing kingdom. The king granted them many privileges, including immunity, the right to self-government, and the construction of stone fortresses to ensure the environment. In 1838, the city of Marienburg (Romanian name: Feldioara) was severely destroyed by an earthquake. Between 2013 and 2017, the ruins of the castle were renovated and largely rebuilt.

At an altitude of 1,720 meters it is located in the Malaiesti valley, in the Bucegi Mountains, the Malaiesti chalet.

The Bucegi Mountains are located south of the city of Brașov (Kronstadt) on the eastern edge of the southern Carpathians in Romania. It extends in a horseshoe shape southeast of Bran (Törzburg). The highest peak of the mountain is the Omu peak.

The French cottage comes from the Latin word "cala" which means "protected place".

Autumn invites you to hikes and tours, but also to rides with the e-bike through wonderful nature. Romania offers diverse landscapes and natural beauty... and this in every season.

The Protestant fortified church of Petersberg is the only one in Transylvania where all three ring walls have been preserved.

The village was probably founded during the time of the Teutonic Order (1211-1225) and belonged to the Tartlau Hundred. It was first mentioned in a document in 1240. In this year, the Hungarian King Bela IV donated the villages of Tartlau, Honigberg, Marienburg and Petersberg to the Cistercian Order. The order was to receive the tax revenue from these places; in addition, no building work could be carried out, works of art commissioned or cemeteries consecrated without the consent of the Cistercians.

In this village in the Burzenland (Tara Birsei), many of the typical houses of the Transylvanian Saxons have been preserved.

A day in August in Brasov / Kronstadt, simply beautiful!!!

The old town with the Black Church, the White and Black Towers, the Catherine’s Gate, the Fortress, the Weavers' Museum, the Old Town Hall Square, and so much more. There’s plenty to discover in every season.

In the small town of Bran, next to Bran Castle (also known as the Castle of Count Dracula), lies the Branean Village Museum.

The museum was established in 1962 in the Bran Castle park and is part of the medieval customs museum. It features 18 households and dwellings, outbuildings, agricultural structures, and hydraulic wood and wool processing installations from past eras.
