More details – History
On the way to the cabin from Busteni, on the left side there is an indicator and an icon that directs you to the monastery. We walk along a path shaded by fir trees, where the view is gorgeous and then we come across the Caraiman massif. In this clearing is the monastery. This is one of the most important royal monasteries in our country, the beginnings of the monastery were made in 1998, by father Gheorge Puiu. It all started with a wooden hermitage and then the church today called Caraiman Monastery in 2008.
