The climate health and winter sports resort Predeal, surrounded by the Postăvarul, Piatra Mare and Bucegi mountain ranges, is located at an altitude between 1,040 and 1,100 meters. The small town is about 25 kilometers from Brașov (Kronstadt) and has the Predeal Pass of the same name, the most important link between Wallachia and Transylvania.
