In the historic heart of the city of Alba Iulia, on a quiet lane of a neighborhood of houses, La Maison de Caroline is perfect for both business trips and relaxing vacations in the Transylvania area. Built more than 120 years ago, the building that houses the hotel welcomes you with an architecture of the late 19th century, in Hungarian style, a boyar house with a refined atmosphere of the rooms full of history. Owned by a well-known family of lawyers until 1950, La Maison de Caroline manages to preserve the beauty of yesteryear’s homes, combining it with the services and facilities of a modern hotel. La Maison de Caroline is located in an area known for its tranquility, practically without traffic and shopping centers in the immediate vicinity.

By the way, the entire hotel tries to recreate a bygone era full of emotions and memories in the visitors’ imagination through the architectural style, materials used and theme design.

We can say that our hotel is an almost exclusively Romanian product. The use of few current materials, such as metal and plastic, and the return to nature – wood, stone and brick – were tried.

In the same note, the breakfast is also prepared with local products, certified organic by the EU – a plus in health alongside the benefits of clean mountain air and the rest that is so necessary. The restaurant will have an international cuisine that can serve 40 people in the best possible conditions; if necessary, it can be turned into a cozy conference room with 60 seats with screen and sound system.

Only a suitable wine can go together with delicious food – in our lounge you will find a selection of wines of the highest quality, most Romanian wines again. The staff can advise you on the most suitable choice for the food ordered or just for the tasting from a selection of wines from around the world. Pleasant surroundings, thanks to the twelve-decade-old stone vaults, antique objects that cover the hotel and the right lighting, transport the tourist to another time, while maintaining the comfort of today. The spa facilities of the Hotel La Maison de Caroline have the same goal of relaxation and rest. These consist of an infrared sauna (a much cheaper and more hygienic option), a jacuzzi in a room that looks like an 1800’s wine cellar, and a cozy massage parlor. After a day of walking or meeting, we have all the elements needed for relaxation before a night’s rest.

In the courtyard, away from the eyes of passers-by, up to 10 cars can be parked, in complete safety, but you can also spend your time on the arched terrace on the ground floor, reading or enjoying an Italian coffee at the tables that are surrounded by a magical play of flowers. Wherever there is no wood or stone, the eyes will be enchanted by flowers and plants, while our hotel is an oasis of greenery in the middle of the city.
