Targu Mures Christmas Market

Visit the Christmas market in Targu Mures, Mures County, from 5 December 2025 to 4 January 2026. The city of Targu Mures (Marosvasarhely in Hungarian and Neumarkt am Mieresch in German) was first mentioned in documents in 1300. It is located on the Mures River (Mieresch in German, Maros in Hungarian) on the way from Brasov to Cluj-Napoca.


Timisoara Christmas Market

Timișoara, in translation: “the citadel on Timiș” is the seat and the largest city of Timiș county in the historical region of Banat, western Romania. From a tourist point of view, Timișoara has the largest collection of historical buildings in Romania. The varied architecture, the influences of the Viennese Baroque and the multitude of parks have brought Timisoara, as said above, the reputation of “Little Vienna”. The Christmas market takes place in Piața Victoriei in Timișoara.


Craiova Christmas Market

The Christmas market in Craiova is among the most impressive in Romania, taking place from November 14, 2025 – January 4, 2026, in Mihai Viteazul Square, in the heart of the city. Thousands of lights shine, creating a festive backdrop for the many stalls offering handmade gifts, regional specialties, and winter treats. A large ice skating rink and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree make the market a popular attraction, bringing Christmas cheer to visitors of all ages.

The main theme of the market is inspired by the story of Beauty and the Beast, while various areas present different concepts, such as Star Wars or Santa’s Village. Last year, Craiova ranked 2nd among the most beautiful Christmas markets in Europe, and we hope the market will be just as well-received this year.


Sibiu Christmas Market

The Christmas Market in Sibiu has a special tradition and is among the first Christmas markets in Romania inspired by Western European models. Since 2007, when Sibiu was the European Capital of Culture, the market has attracted numerous visitors each year during Advent. In the Great Square (Piața Mare), at the heart of the old town, festively decorated stalls offer traditional handicrafts, delicious pastries, and spiced mulled wine. The lights of the market illuminate the historical setting, creating a magical atmosphere.

Visitors can look forward to many attractions, including a 22-meter-high panoramic Ferris wheel, a 600-square-meter natural ice rink, and a nostalgic children’s carousel. The “Little Square” becomes a special place for the youngest visitors and hosts “Santa’s Land.”


Brașov Christmas Market

The Christmas market in Brașov has become a permanent feature of the annual event calendar in recent years, bringing life to the historic Town Hall Square in the medieval heart of the city. Surrounded by Gothic and Baroque buildings, including the famous Black Church, the market blends harmoniously with the city’s historic ambiance. It takes place on Town Hall Square and is eagerly awaited by locals as well as tourists enjoying their winter holidays.

As every year, local producers, artisans, and craftsmen come together to offer visitors beautiful, delicious, and unique experiences. Visitors can enjoy traditional crafts, Romanian specialties, and warming drinks.

Oradea Christmas Market

The charming Christmas market in Oradea takes place in the central Union Square, where the city’s impressive architecture provides a festive backdrop. The market opens its doors bringing the magic of the winter holidays to Unirii Square and Ferdinand Square.

It is known for lovingly decorated stalls offering a variety of handmade gifts, traditional crafts, and delicious treats, including Romanian specialties and aromatic mulled wine.

Visitors can look forward to numerous festive shows and a fairytale-like setting. Experience the beauty of the winter holidays in Oradea and enjoy the unforgettable moments this Christmas market has to offer.


Bucharest Christmas Market

The Christmas market in Bucharest, held every December, is one of the largest and most beautiful Advent events in Romania. The Christmas markets (there are several markets taking place simultaneously in Bucharest) usually start at the end of November.

At the Christmas market, artisans from across the country, local producers, and authentic creators will showcase their best products and creations. This year, visitors can expect over 100 stalls, Christmas concerts, an ice skating rink, and many other surprises. As in previous years, the festive lighting will be turned on during the event’s opening evening, offering a true spectacle for many.


Arad Christmas Market

The Christmas market in Arad usually takes place from mid-December onwards at two main locations: Piața Catedralei and Parcul Reconcilierii. Visitors can explore stalls selling handmade products, sweets, mulled wine, and gifts, as well as enjoy special attractions such as an ice rink, a Ferris wheel, and a carousel. The event includes Christmas carol concerts and live music, which add to the festive atmosphere.

The daily program offers a wide range of activities and spectacular light decorations.


Constanta Christmas Market

In Constanța, this year’s Christmas Market will take place at the Exhibition Pavilion, offering a magical holiday atmosphere.

The Christmas market usually takes place at the end of November 2024 and offers a variety of stalls selling traditional products, winter decorations, and seasonal food.

Visitors can enjoy carols, children’s activities, and a meeting with Santa Claus, all prepared to bring the joy of Christmas to the seaside city.


Bistrița Christmas Market

In Bistrița, the Christmas market transforms the city center into a magical place decorated with lights and decorations. It usually takes place from the end of November until the beginning of January.

At the market in the Central Square, there will be stalls with handcrafted products, traditional foods, and gifts, offering visitors an authentic holiday experience.

The program includes carol concerts, workshops, and daily visits to Santa’s House, a popular attraction for families and children.


Cluj-Napoca Christmas Market

The Christmas market in Cluj-Napoca is a true winter wonderland in the heart of the city. Numerous festively decorated wooden stalls gather on the central Unirii Square, offering a wide range of handicrafts, culinary specialties, and handmade gifts. The atmospheric lighting, traditional music, and the scent of mulled wine and gingerbread give the market a magical ambiance.
