This church is located at the entrance to Galați and is one of the largest churches in the city. The image above the entrance shows the “Wonderful Saint Parascheva” who was born in Epibatai (now Selimpaşa, near Istanbul in Turkey), a village in a Byzantine province in the 10th century and at the age of 15 decided to lead a life religious in a monastery and later as a hermit
