Piatra Neamț (Kreuzburg an der Bistritz in German) is the capital of Neamț County and is located in northeastern Romania. Literally translated, Piatra Neamț means "Stein Deutsch" or "Deutschstein", by which the word Neamț is an old Romanian term for "German".

From the train station, a cable car (Telegondola) leads almost 2 km (2,000 meters) to the mountain station on Mount Cozla, at an altitude of 632 meters. The trip takes just under 8 minutes and you can already enjoy the wonderful view of the city and the surrounding area.

Piatra Neamț was founded at the end of the 14th century under the name of Piatra lui Crăciun and was transformed into a famous center of arts and crafts after the establishment of a royal court by Ștefan cel Mare, prince of Moldavia (1433–1504). The city has around 80 to 100,000 inhabitants and is always worth a visit due to the historic area of ​​the old town.

This gorge is a particularly picturesque area in Romania, located in the central part of the Hasmas Mountains in the northeast of the country, in the counties of Neamt and Harghita.

The number of steps is roughly equivalent to the number of steps leading to the viewing platform in Cologne Cathedral. We don’t have exact figures, but both routes are said to have around 500 steps. This is roughly equivalent to 31 floors in a high-rise building (information for anyone who wants to practice at home).

This memorial house in Humulesti is now a small museum dedicated to the Romanian storyteller Ion Creanga (1837-1889), who was born and raised in the village of Humulesti (today a suburb of Targu Neamt) in Neamt County.

The house dates back to 1833, the building is a wooden beam construction with a shingle roof, and it is listed as a historical monument. It was inhabited by the descendants of the Creanga family until 1959.

Piatra Neamț is the capital of Neamț County in northeastern Romania.

The city is located in the historical region of Western Moldova, on the terraces on the left bank of the Bistritz (Bistritz) surrounded by the foothills of the Eastern Carpathians, the mountains Pietricica, Cozla, Cernegura and Bâtca Doamnei. Lake Cuejdel is one of the largest natural dam lakes in Romania, located in the Stanișoarei Mountains in the area of Gârcina commune, near the city of Piatra Neamț (Neamț County).

It is approximately 1 km long and has a width ranging from 20 to about 280 meters. The average depth is 10 meters (maximum depth up to 16.5 meters).

Neamț Fortress is a medieval fortress in the city of Târgu Neamț (Neamț County) in northeastern Romania. It was built in the 14th century in the Principality of Moldova during the reign of Peter I Musat of Moldavia and expanded in the 15th century.
