Dear visitors of this website,
Who are we and what do we do 🙂
We, the operator of this internet presentation, are an internet agency in Galati, Romania, which has set itself the goal of presenting the beautiful sides of Romania. Romania impresses with a largely (still) untouched landscape, long traditions and influences of many peoples. It is a wonderful country… in many parts poor, very poor and with many problems… but certainly always worth a visit.
We look after and nurture this internet presentation – it’s our little baby, so to speak (in the meantime, after several years and as of 2025, it’s more of a fully-grown toddler ) – with a lot of love and hope to present a different image of Romania than is known and regularly shown in the media in Germany, Austria and many other countries.
Even today (as of early 2025), Romania still has a large proportion of poor people (compared to the rest of Europe) … especially in rural areas! After a long working life, many women and men receive the minimum pension of currently 230 euros a month, child benefit is 60 euros a month and anyone who has ever been to a Romanian hospital … will miss many things that have long been considered standard in Germany. There is still a lot missing … and above all money!
But despite everything, Romanians are caring people, they are family-oriented, just as we were in Germany 100 years ago. People help each other because they have to help each other and because it’s not easy, especially in the countryside.
But… there is also life in the big cities… with a very large proportion of poor people, but also with large shopping malls and supermarkets. C&A, KIK, Lidl, Penny, Kaufland, DM and Co can be found in every city and every larger town. Usually with a large selection of German products and regional offerings such as sausage, cheese and lots and lots of fruit. Here in Galati, 70 km from the Black Sea and located in the Danube Delta, it is no problem to buy original “Nürnberger Rossbratwürste” with “Hausgemachten bayrischen Sauerkraut” …. Kaufland makes it possible! And recently they also started selling freshly baked “Covrig bavarese”… the Bavarian pretzel… :-))) I (the author) have missed them for a long time !
It would be possible to write books about books about Romania…. and still not be able to express what Romania is today. But one thing is for sure, anyone who has been here with a good intention… will love Romania… and anyone who claims to know Romania without having been here has no idea how wonderful this country can be for a visitor.
Romania… a wonderful destination for families and anyone who wants to experience and get to know nature, history, good food, people and traditions without prejudice.
We look forward to seeing you… Welcome !
