The Mourning Swan (Cygnus atratus) or Black Swan is the only almost completely black swan and also has the longest neck of all swans.
The gray swan's natural range is Australia. In Europe there are only exposed and wild swans, populations found only in the Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia.

Millions of Christmas and New Year lights in Brăila. Last year and this year again!

As every year, Brăila is adorned with millions of Christmas lights. A small Christmas market near the community and endless lights delight the night.

Near the city of Braila in southeastern Romania, many storks gathered to "hunt" together. Mom and Pope Storch are looking for food for the little ones and are apparently very successful here. Nearly 50 storks and many other bird species gathered in a small area of ​​about 200 x 200 meters to look for food, a wonderful sight.

The city of Brăila is the capital of the county of the same name in southeastern Romania. Brăila is located in the region of Wallachia, on the left bank of the lower Danube, close to the Danube Delta.

Regularly in the spring there are "new shadows" in the pedestrian area of ​​the city of Brăila (southeastern Romania)… which, not only donates shade, invites visitors to create many, many photos. This year, Brăila is decorated, instead, instead. of the colorful mixture of colors, in the national colors of Romania blue / yellow / red.

The park in Braila has existed since 1833 and is known for a monument built by the French architect Villaye and which also bears his name. The memorial depicted a double-edged sword on a pedestal with two lions beside it. In 1916 the monument was destroyed by the Turkish occupiers.

With an area of ​​approximately 90 hectares, the park in Braila is now one of the largest parks in Romanian cities.
