More details
The Hoia Baciu forest takes its name from a shepherd from the region who disappeared in the forest with his flock of sheep. One story tells of a five-year-old girl who went into the woods and five years later came back wearing the same clothes and not looking a day older. Many other stories revolve around a clearing where nothing grows and though scientists have examined the land and found that everything is fine. The forest is a fascinating and unique place to visit or hike.
And whether you’re looking for the supernatural… or just after an interesting hike, this forest is worth a visit.
