The Red Lake (Lacul Roșu) is a natural reservoir in the Harghita district of northeastern Romania.

It is located in the Hasmas Mountains, on the upper bank of the Bicaz River and at the foot of Hasmasul Mare Peak, near Bicaz Gorge, about 25 km from Gheorgheni and about 30 km from Bicaz (Neamt district).

The Bicaz Gorge is located in the central part of the Hasmas Mountains, in the counties of Neamt and Harghita. The town of Bicaz is only 20 km away.

It is the third largest salt mine and one of the oldest salt mines in Romania. It is home to the Trotuș mine at a depth of 240 m, the country's largest facility for the treatment of respiratory diseases. Salina Targu Ocna is one of the oldest salt mines in Romania and is mentioned in documents dating back to 1502 and has been listed as a salt extraction area since at least 1353.

In 2011, the largest statue of Jesus in Eastern Europe was erected on Mount Gordon in Harghita County, between the towns of Odorheiu Secuiesc and Praid.

The statue, called the Heart of Jesus, is approximately 22 meters tall, built from iron and stainless steel, and was funded through donations collected by the town hall of the village of Lupeni.

This gorge is a special picturesque area in Romania, which is located in the central part of the Pășmaș mountains in the northeast of the country, in Neamț and Harghita counties.

The gorge begins near Red Lake and, as you follow the road, you can admire many bizarre forms of rocks, huge boulders and swirling water.

The Corund River is about 23 km long. It flows into the larger Târnava Mică River in the town of Praid as a left tributary.

The town of Toplița (in Hungarian Maroshévíz, in German Töplitz) is located in Harghita County in Transylvania.

The images show the Monastery of St. Ilie, or Toplița Monastery, which was founded in 1928 by Dr. It was founded by Miron Cristea, the first Patriarch of Romania. Inside the monastery is a museum that includes icons on wood and glass and a parish library with thousands of volumes.

In antiquity, probably the Dacian settlement of Sangidava was located here (according to Ptolemy). The town of Toplița was mentioned for the first time in writing in 1658 and belonged at that time to the Principality of Transylvania and from the end of the 17th century to the Habsburg Monarchy.

After the First World War, the city became part of Romania. As a result of the second Vienna arbitration in 1940, it belonged again to Hungary for four years and from 1944 back to Romania.

The longest and most modern bobsleigh track in Romania is near the town of Toplița (Harghita County).

With a length of almost 2 kilometers and a speed of up to 45 km / h, it is one of the main attractions of this region.
